Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming — but choosing your desserts shouldn’t be.

This guide was created to make the sweet part of your big day feel simple, clear, and exciting. Whether you’re envisioning a classic tiered cake, a table of cupcakes, or something totally unique, my goal is to help you feel confident (and even have fun!) making dessert decisions.

Tasting Information

How it works:

I offer a customizable tasting kit featuring 3 cake flavors, 3 fillings, and 3 frostings of your choice — perfect for mix & match testing at home. It’s ideal for narrowing down your favorites before the big day!

- Tasting kits are available by pre-order (subject to booking schedule)

- You’ll receive care/storage instructions with your kit

- Feedback is welcome and helps shape your final order!

How much should you order?

Every event is different, but here’s a sweet starting point to help you plan the right amount without over (or under) doing it! For more information on cake serving sizes visit the Order page

Traditional Cake

Just cake? ➝ Plan for 1 slice per guest

Add an extra 10% if your guests love sweets or you're skipping other desserts.

Cupcakes

Cupcakes only? ➝ Plan for 1-1.5 cupcakes per guest (some will want extra!)

Potentially order 2 cupcakes per guest if you have an assortment of flavors

Cake & Cupcakes

Serving both? ➝ Plan for 1/2 slice of cake & 1 cupcake per guest

This is great for having both a cake cutting, but also having variety for guests with an easy way of serving!

Wedding Dessert FAQ

1. Can we have more than one flavor?

Absolutely! ​I am always happy to offer multiple flavors, but there are some things to keep in mind:

  • For cupcakes: Flavors are done per 2 dozen. So if you’d like more than one cupcake flavor, just be sure your total quantity supports that (ex: 4 dozen = up to 2 flavors).

  • For tiered cakes: Each tier must be one flavor, but you can mix flavors by tier. For example, your bottom tier could be vanilla bean, and your top tier could be lemon raspberry.

2. Do you deliver and set up?

Yes - I will always be the one to deliver, you have the option of delivering to the venue directly, or to a residence of your choice so that you can be the one to transport.

Fees will apply if the delivery is outside of the Redding, Palo Cedro & Anderson area. 

3. Whats the difference between buttercream and fondant?

I work with buttercream only — it’s softer, tastier (in my opinion!), and has a more natural look. If you have a specific design in mind, I can let you know what’s possible with buttercream

4. Do you offer any allergy friendly options?

I offer vegan friendly options, but please note that everything is made in the same kitchen. Let’s talk about what works best for your needs.

5. What happens to leftover cake or cupcakes?

They’re all yours! I recommend having containers on hand or assigning someone to box up extras for you to enjoy post-wedding.
